i was in motoyama looking at king kong. and this couple came up to talk to me after they saw me take a picture of it using my polaroid camera. both had some nice cannons. i made a comment about their cameras. and they looked at me proudly and said, "no digital". we made some other small talk then i walked off.
good for them, the fact they dont use digital. maybe it wasnt their intention, but they came off like, indie music guy. i guess i dont take photography that seriously. i enjoy both film and digital. i like vinyl and i like to buy my music on itunes as well. you are kind of limiting yourself if you rely 100% on one or the other. variety is the spice channel of life.
and speaking of photography, later on i walked into a eyeglass shop. and some shop clerk was making comments on the olympus i was using (thanks john!) she was telling me that she was starting to get into photography, but she was really worried about how to use the correct lighting, and how to take a good picture. she then asked me what i do. i just said, well, i just take a picture, i guess i dont really even think about the lighting or any rules. she looked a little dissapointed and said, "oh". then i smiled awkwardly and i just made a comment about the old man japanese glasses by the window.
i have no idea about cameras. i like them, though. they are enjoy.
